Acupuncture

Niki Brownlow - Acupuncturist

Niki is an experienced acupuncturist having graduated from the NZ School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Wellington in 2010.

Nikis interest in TCM grew from personal experience of success with digestion, skin and stress related conditions with a background interest of the acknowledgment that good health derives from the internal balance of body and mind dynamics.

After gaining a Bachelor of Health Science acupuncture Nikis passion for fresh perspectives, travel and culture led her to practice onboard cruise ships.  Invaluable knowledge was gained on a multitude of pain conditions treating many patients over a 5 year period.

A busy ACC registered practitioner here in Wellington since 2016 Niki has helped with acute and chronic injuries, treating pain and inflammation. Niki has an interest in a wholistic approach being most beneficial where pain and dysfunction are present.  Traditional Chinese Medicine will look at a ‘root cause’ of any condition to help the body towards recovery and prevent future issues.  Helping stress, sleep problems, digestion, mood imbalance and energy levels is often integrated with muscular skeletal-conditions.

With a belief of the importance of combining the effectiveness of layering treatment with bodywork, mindfulness, as well as micronutrient replenishment and detoxifying the elimination systems; Nikis passion lies with giving a platform and space for your body to be open to healing.   ‘The centre of wellbeing comes from the calm within’.

Other conditions acupuncture maybe helpful for: Migraines, numbness, sciatica, arthritis, digestive tract inflammation, reflux, hormonal and menstrual irregularities, pregnancy issues and preparation, re-occurring infections and allergies like skin, sinusitis, urinary tract; stress induced physical dysfunction, anxiety and depression.
